About

The marketing systems a corporate team runs on, sized for one person.

The premise

Big teams aren't better at this.

They just inherited a system that someone built for them once, and now they fill it in.

For thirteen years I've worked inside digital marketing — twelve of them as an SEO specialist, web content editor and manager, and website designer and developer. I'm currently an email marketing director, still doing SEO and development work alongside it.

In that time I've watched the same thing happen over and over. A freelancer or a small-business owner does genuinely good marketing work, and still can't tell you which of it worked. Not because they aren't capable — because nobody ever handed them the dashboard, the benchmark table, the weekly review that a corporate team takes completely for granted.

It isn't a skill gap. It's an infrastructure gap — big teams win because someone built them a system once, and now they just fill it in.

That's the whole idea behind Clearly. Each planner is the system I'd build for a team, shrunk to one file that one person can open and use on a Tuesday morning. No implementation project, no onboarding call, no per-seat pricing. You type your numbers in and it tells you what they mean.

They're deliberately unglamorous in one specific way: they don't post, send or schedule anything. You keep every tool you already use. These sit on top and do the part those tools don't — reading your own numbers back to you and saying what to do next.

I build them early mornings and after bedtime, around a full-time job and two small children, from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. That's partly why they're built the way they are: one file, no server, no account to maintain. It has to work without me.

If something in one of them is confusing, that's a bug and I'd like to know. hello@clearlyrun.com comes to me.

What that looks like

Four planners, one for each channel.

Social, Pinterest, SEO and email. Every one has a live demo you can open right now, with sample data already in it.
